Well, I’ve done it! I’ve made it to the end of NaBloPoMo without missing a single day. For a habitual procrastinator, that’s a nice little achievement.

It’s a relief to finally be at the end of November. It’s been a challenging month but it’s been entirely worth the effort.

Today also marks one year since I first posted on this blog. I would feel more excited about my blogging anniversary if I had actually engaged in a busy year of blogging, rather than letting my blog languish for months until dusting it off properly in November. Nevertheless,  I’m proud of at least successfully completing the challenge I set myself a month ago, and I’m looking forward to blogging regularly from now on.

I’d be lying if I said I was happy with everything I’ve posted over the last month. There have definitely been several days when I’ve thrown something together in a rush, thinking “it’ll do”. I’m my own worst critic anyway, and seldom entirely satisfied with any piece of writing, so it’s been hard to post on days when I felt that my post was rubbish and pointless. Now that I’m done with the pressure of daily midnight deadlines, I look forward to focusing on creating quality content that I can (hopefully) be proud of.

This has been a very rewarding month. I’ve found so many interesting blogs to follow, and picked up a number of followers along the way (thank you!). There’s a fabulous WordPress community out there, and I want to be a part of that, if I can overcome my wallflower tendencies.

There are a few things I’d like to do with the blog. I’d like to start writing much more about television and film, and I’m contemplating writing more about past travel experiences (and  future ones, of course).

I’m waving goodbye to daily posting but hoping to create and stick to a new posting schedule.

So this is the end of NaBloPoMo but hopefully just the beginning of a productive new phase for this blog and my writing endeavours.
